Hello guys, please allow me to speak my mind here, first of all, I give you an absolute bravo for such great work. The animations and clear graphics and the great face expressions are absolutely amazing, it's an honor that such a movie is made in Jordan. BUT, and a bug BUT TOO! Guys, what are you doing? To waste three months of work on a suicide movie! Come on, u didn't even rate it for adults only. Kids are not allowed to see such stuff. Why can't we Arabs produce something to be proud of and something to show absolutely everyone around proudly! Why not make something happy, creative. I can bring a kid and make him think of a thousand ways to commit suicide. Be creative guys; make happy animations, like ice age, this same guy swimming with dolphins and finding a secret world in the sea, anything, but NOT SUICIDE! I talked about this movie with some of the people who did this animation, they called it something new and creative, sorry, but I have to say this, it IS a great clear animation, but it's sick, not creative.
Wish you guys all the best, and really, I look forward to seeing all your work and even supporting you in any way I can, I'd love to see you guys brilliant artists shining in the sky of stars and the world of animations. Some day, I hope I'll watch a cartoon like ice age from your production. Well done, but work on the ideas.

Wajdy, Sandra, and everyone else (Whom I don't know but are clearly extremely talented individuals),
I just finished watching your excellent movie :)
The movie looks and feels very professional. It has a very smart intro which practically demanded my attention, drawing me in. It is the kind of movie that a person wants to watch uninterrupted from start to finish. Very atmospheric. The sounds and music contribute a lot, adding significantly to the atmosphere. I have very little knowledge of 3D Graphics and art in general... But I know enough to realize how hard it was to get it to look so good, and in such a short time. As a viewer of your work, I can honestly say that it looks just as good; if not better, than any professional material I have come across.
The website is great by the way. I really like it. Oh and I like the logo... And the name "Frayed Ends", is a very good choice for a title :)
As for the concept of the movie... I must say, thank you for being enlightened enough to explore areas and subjects beyond the traditional. Thank you for not limiting your thinking and confining it. That alone deserves a 10/10.

I'm really impressed that all of this was done in Jordan , I don't know any of you guys , but I'm sure you're one hell of a team . Jordan should be proud.
I thnk the train represents his pain packed into one big blow , because his pain didnt wait for him to do something about it , it kept accumilating until it blowed passed him or through him.
This my interpeation I hope I didn't over think this.

This is great work , we've been trying to do some 3d animations in Future TV but we ended up outsourcing the whole thing , I guess next time we'll know who to call...
Is this 3d max ? You guys took it to the limits as far as I'm concerned ... I can argue that the story could have been a bit more cheerful , or better plotted , but one can't ask anything more of you guys .... Nice work

I have to admit I searched Youtube and google thinking that I'll find it somewhere being the product of a western company !
And I'm really sorry for that. But you have to excuse me , because this is not the quality of work that we're used to see around here. This is really professional work , and the idea is not conventional to say the least . This kind of courage wasn't to be expect from an Arabic group, but I guess somebody had to come and change that image , and you completely did that I salute you guys .
I am truly amazed. Every now and again, burst of talent appears in Jordan that is world class. This is one of those moments.
The whole package: script, direction, animation, lighting, sound is very well made. I really want to go an click the 'making of' link now.
I invite you to post your movie to ikbis.com (with a link to your site of course) to show your short to an even wider audience.

note: if you are considering touch-ups, i found the lighting a bit off in the beginning, and then the sudden fade was too quick. as well as the neck twisting to be too shearing. as if his neck was ripping when he turned his head.

its amazing how much work goes into animation, few people (besides those involved) can truly appreciate it. all i can say is well done guys. lighting, modelling, animation, story, you name it, its all brilliant!
hopefully we'll see some more magic come from "red train in room's" bag of tricks in the near future

Great movie, crap story. I mean... honestly. It's superficial at the most.
As for everything else, WOW. F-Amazing. Kudos to all of you for this grand piece of work.
If you get a screenplay writer, you guys are going places.
The making of is amazing insight. Inspired me to do something of our own. I want to thank the team for this brave step, that I hope will inspire a whole generation of talented Jordanian short film makers.

Very nice ! i liked it alot ,its really not easy to transfer your thoughts to the viewer and make him feel something , i totally did , i left my headsets on after it finshed and drifted with my thoughts , and that always happens with me with good movies
Now when i watched the making off , i noticed a couple of things that i didn't notice that they are hard during the movie , like the light and the other effects , really nice job guys ! the music and the sound effects really back up the movie and builds up the atmosphere and i know how hard it is to create music like that !

Dear all,
Congratulations on this really big project, the grafix are amazing, the story is not. unfortunatelly ofcourse.
It feels actually weird when 8 brilliant people work for 3 months on such a cutting edge project to produce something with no value in the market from a business perspective ofcourse.
I want you to rethink it please and dont get ir personally, the work is amazing. what if you did something that will make people interested, brought a laugh, brought a political point of view or even a sarcastic opinion. You would get free publicity, news papers will write about it, youll have interviews here and there, big sites will link to you, and boom, you are there, aint this what you guys want? if this is just for fun? then its fine but i dont see why such talented people would waste 3 months on a 'just for fun project'.

Hey Guys, I was floored by this movie. Very powerful, gripping imagery/subject matter. The animation in general is very convincing (except for the close up shot of the eye). The way the character moves about, the use of light, great stuff. Plus the soundtrack fits perfectly (very important). Can I take a stab in the dark and say some of the people involved in this project are HEAVILY influenced by Metallica's '...And Justice For All' (the title, ending and guitar in the room kinda give it away)
i sat there for ten minutes after watching it thinking...where should i start?i mean the facial expressions were very very real. the music.. the light effects and the attention to little details were all just amazing! you are truley professional. im looking forward to a great second animation hopefully something less hardcore.your animation is so powerful it can give ppl crazy ideas!!
although I hate the scene of Wajdi's loosed jeans, and the poping navy boxers :D, but I have to admit that the animation was a master piece, but guys don't you think that it was kinda depressing, and the first question that came to my mind: why?? do u think that this guy wasn't thankful for the gift of health for example, so when he woke up in the hospital - I assume - and relaized what happend, he became very regret, but time was too late, any way, i think its a nice idea.

First of all let me express my amazement, really great job guys, very neat work, a great idea, and great quality. Excellent job, great hard workers, Jordan should be proud about you...Coz that's really fantastic...
But I dont know about you guys here...Is it just me that see this movie as the most OPTIMISTIC movie i've ever seen????!!
Dont think am nuts or sth,, maybe i got it all wrong, but what this movie meant to me is the following...
This guy is on a high level of depression... But YEAH he got the PERFECT solution... commit suicide.. all his troubles will be gone... the pain relieved, and of with depression... He just goes around thinking and inventing whatever ways to commit suicide... but actually chickens out and stops...Think of another way to die...Stop...Think again...Refrain....
While thinking of the next death scenario he would try... this brilliant red train shows from nowhere... and gets us to the next scene...This guy not dead, but disabled...paralized...numb...
He did not appreciate life, he was willing to give it all up at many times...This train of truth just made it clear, that the only thing this guy was doing is wasting his time in fake solutions...He is now unable to even commit suicide...It is late now...So go on, get out of your ROOM, be what you really are, try to make a difference, dont wait for it to happen.... MAKE IT HAPPEN...
"THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU NEED RIGHT NOW...GO DO SOMETHING BETTER WITH YOUR LIFE..." so true...

As for the people who contested the subject discussed i.e. suicide i say grow up, open your eyes, and see the world for what it is.
Art is supposed to reflect reality. Suicide, death, tragedy are realities. So typical of arabs to want everything to be portrayed in rose-tinted galsses

There is one thing i am not clear about is if he is too afraid to end his life everytime. Anyways i felt that he was too scared ... so it was almost a relief when the train killed him. his mind killed him before he did i guess thats what i make of it.
so just wanted to salute you...
